Picturesque and peaceful, this old market town (on the island of Bornholm) is full of history, culture and classic Danish architecture!

Need to knows!
Currency: | Danish Krone (DKK). |
Language: | Danish is the official language spoken here but English is widely spoken. |
Plug type: | For Denmark, it is plug types E & K but it can also be C & F. I often take a worldwide travel adapter so I am fully prepared wherever I am. |
Travel: | Often included as a port on many cruise ship itineraries. The main airport is Bornholm (located just over 5km from Ronne). You can go between the airport and Ronne via taxi or bus. |
Cash or card? | Both are accepted but I would carry a little cash for the smaller shops! |

My Experience:
I visited this quaint, little town last summer (as part of a Baltic cruise itinerary). I only spent a day here so just enough time to meander the cobblestone streets and soak up the scenery.
I enjoyed viewing the half-timbered houses, the lighthouse and St. Nicolas' church. With its local style architecture and mix of "old and new", there are lots of opportunities to take beautiful pictures that truly reflect the special ambience of this town. There are many major capital cities on a Baltic cruise so it was a lovely contrast to visit a more relaxed and quieter town.
