Surfing, showtime and spooky vibes!

It's been busy and I don't know where 2025 is going but here are my most recent updates of my time in Scotland.
I am loving autumn! I haven't spent autumn in the UK since 2021 so I'm really enjoying the changing seasons and the stunning display of vibrant colours in the beautiful city of Edinburgh. Although I am worried about the dark mornings and the dark nights (and their impact upon my mental health), I do love this time of year in the UK and the "run-up" to Christmas. Ask me my opinion on winter in January...
Anyway read on to hear all about my highlights and top tips for relocating...

My Highlights:
lunch date with girlfriends;
weekend with loved ones;
performing in a theatre show;
taking part in a surfing lesson at Lost Shore;
celebrating Halloween with a secret cinema showing of a mystery, spooky film;
exploring Edinburgh more and taking pretty pictures;
and finally, enjoying the colours of autumn.
Top Tips and Lessons Learnt for Relocating:
Check in with yourself everyday and reach out for help if needed! If there are times where you're not feeling yourself (whether that be emotionally, physically or mentally) and you know that you could use a little support, don't be afraid to speak out. It's always better to be aware and seek support immediately instead of ignoring and suppressing.
External validation- you don't need it! Over the past few years I have really worked on just validating myself as opposed to seeking it externally. However, sometimes, it can be easy to slip back into old habits and rely on the validation provided from others. I am currently looking to observe both negative and positive feedback but not allow it to shake me.
Be honest and have the difficult conversations! You can't always predict the outcome and sometimes, a problem shared, really is a problem halved!
Nothing is more important than community! As complex human-beings, we all rely on a sense of belonging. Don't be afraid to step out, find your tribe and connect.
It's how people make you feel! Sometimes in life, it's not always about how long you've known people. Sometimes you can know someone for a short period of time but they have the biggest impact on you because of how they made you feel. They made you feel seen, heard and understood.
This is a snapshot of my experience so far and I will be posting a monthly blog: updating you on my adventures in Scotland along with my highlights and lessons learnt!
