Family, friends & festivals! Bristol, Liverpool & Perth! Comedy, poetry & theatre!

This has been a busy past month and although my title is 'Scotland: Chapter 13', I have actually done a fair bit of travel. I've visited Bristol and Liverpool, which was amazing for a change of scenery! I also got to venture to Perth a couple of times and explore this picturesque city.
Read on for my highlights, lowlights and lessons learnt!

My Highlights:
selling my debut collection of poetry & photography in Perth at the Literary Escape Festival;
seeing the comedian Danny Bhoy perform in Perth;
going to Liverpool for another Literary Escape Festival;
seeing friends in Liverpool and then having them visit me;
visiting family and working on songs for my Edinburgh Fringe Show;
and finally, seeing a friend do an amazing performance in Terry Pratchett's Night Watch.
My Lowlights:
worries about the future;
facing difficult feelings during therapy sessions;
and finally, struggling with low energy levels.
Lessons Learnt:
It's okay to sit with difficult feelings and express discontent or disappointment.
Try to rest a little everyday to avoid a weekly burnout.
You can't always predict the future.
You can't re-write the past.
You can achieve much more than you ever imagined!

Thank you for reading my blog

Stay tuned for 'Scotland: Chapter 14'!
