Coffees, cakes and catch ups!
So I'm a little later with this latest blog than usual but it's been a busy month! Lots of change, new starts and old finishes. I've recently moved flats so I've been packing, unpacking, cleaning, sorting and adjusting! It's been a great experience and I've enjoyed the physical and metaphorical element of a spring clean! It's definitely given me a renewed sense of perspective, grounding and gratitude.
It's all happened very quickly but sometimes it can be good to let your intuition guide you and to simply listen to your body and how it feels and what it's telling you...
Read on for my highlights, lowlights and lessons learnt!
My Highlights:
seeing Alex Cumming perform in The High Life: The Musical at Dundee Rep Theatre (see photo on the left);
visiting CuppaPug Rescue Cafe in Edinburgh with a friend (see pictures below);
watching Crime & Punishment at The Festival Theatre in Edinburgh;
visiting Dean Village & Stockbridge's charity shops and coffee shops with my mum;
and finally, moving into my new place!
My Lowlights:
every time I have to say goodbye to family and not being able to see them every day;
finding balance between looking after myself and wanting to be productive all the time;
and finally, dealing with difficult emotions or memories from the past.
Lessons Learnt:
Things can change quickly; sometimes it just takes one change for momentum to take hold.
Live every day from a place of gratitude.
Letting people in to help is a really humbling experience.
I've come along way from the person I used to be and for that I am proud.
Resting is a part of productivity.
