It's the first day of March so let's take a little time out for you! What are your current intentions, priorities and goals? I hope you had a fabulous February but what does the month of March mean for you?

The first day of the month is a wonderful time for reset and reassessment; I am currently trying to take some time at the end of each month to assess what is going well in my life and what areas could potentially do with some adjustments.
Below are a few of my responses to some of the exercises that I have shared with you previously on my trilogy of 'New Year: New Me?' blogs. You may wish to revisit those past blogs, however I have summarised the main prompts and questions here for you.
My word of the year: energy! This is something that I am still working on, as I can often struggle to find the required energy over the winter months of January and February. However (with this in mind) I am aiming to continue prioritising health and well-being over the month of March.
Theme of the month: Exploration & Observation. As I have recently relocated, I am seeing this as time to explore the new areas in order to keep curious, have fun and see new things. I believe that exploring new places (even in your local area) is a wonderful way to re-energise and rejuvenate, as sometimes seeing places through fresh eyes or from a new perspective can be extremely refreshing. I love travelling but sometimes travelling to places far and wide isn't always possible, so being a traveller in your own area can lead to new finds and new fun!
Priorities for this month: health and well-being; work; exploring the writing and theatre communities in Edinburgh; allow time to complete current writing projects; and finally, time for new connections and friendships.
Main priority of the month: to prioritise health and well-being by incorporating more movement and healthier foods into my lifestyle. I am aiming to do the following to achieve this: bring in more whole foods to my diet; walking to and from the train station for work; thirty minutes of exercise per day; and finally, evening meditation before bedtime to relax and aid quality rest and sleep.
Self-development goal: to attend open evening events at local theatre groups and read one of my poems at a poetry open mic night.
Intention of the month: to remember the abundance of opportunities that change and new starts can bring.
Daily habits to incorporate: ten minutes of evening meditation; drink the recommended intake of water per day; continue to read before bed.
What am I reading this month? Make Change That Lasts by Dr Rangan Chatterjee.
What went well in February?
What would you like to do differently in March?
What are your priorities this March?

These are just some strategies that you can experiment with in order to help you live more intentionally and more in alignment with your values and core purpose. However, as always, there will be some you find useful and some not at all- that's okay! Sometimes, I find an exercise useful and it helps me to achieve my goals but then other times my good intentions can fall by the wayside. But I guess that's just part and parcel of being human and being busy, and sometimes you just have to be kind and compassionate with yourself.
So as we march into March, just remember: you've got this and keep marching towards those goals!

Thank you for reading my blog

I wish you a magical March!
