Shows, sunshine and South Queensferry!

Thank you for returning to read the next instalment of my time in Scotland. It's already chapter five and the past month has been all about enjoying summertime and the festival! Even though I've been working hard and keeping busy, I've been trying to take time out to really appreciate the present.
Read on to hear all about my highlights and top tips for relocating...

My Highlights So Far:
performing at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival;
seeing lots of shows at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival;
having friends and family come to visit;
enjoying a stay-cation;
doing activities that nourish me (like the cinema);
and finally, an impromptu evening in South Queensferry to enjoy the sunshine.
Top Tips and Lessons Learnt for Relocating:
Take time to rest and relax! At the moment I am trying to take time out for myself when possible instead of feeling the need to be productive all the time.
Take time to celebrate your achievements! Stopping to congratulate yourself on any wins (big or small) is so important!
Nourish yourself! Each day I am asking myself the following question: what am I doing to nourish myself? This could be physically, mentally or emotionally...
Take a stay-cation! Since moving to Scotland, I have often travelled with any time off from work. However, with my last holiday, I decided to spend time in Scotland and this was really nice to truly appreciate my surroundings at a more leisurely pace!
Book things to look forward to! With the autumn months quickly approaching and the change of season impending, I have spent a little bit of time to schedule to exciting trips and fun activities to help with the final summer farewell.
This is a snapshot of my experience so far and I will be posting a monthly blog: updating you on my adventures in Scotland along with my highlights and lessons learnt!

Thank you for reading my blog

Stay tuned for 'Scotland: Chapter 6'!
