A busy birthday month full of family, friends and frolics!

Chapter six is here! It was a busy September with it being my birthday month... Lots of time well spent with friends and family, doing lots of lovely things! I always feel that my birthday month is a good time to reflect on the year gone by before pausing to appreciate the here and now...
Read on to hear all about my highlights and top tips for relocating...

My Highlights:
visiting the Isle of Arran (see pictures below);
visiting family for my birthday;
having drinks at Edinburgh's W;
rehearsals for my upcoming shows;
enjoying quiet nights and slow mornings;
and finally, being active through hiking and badminton.
Top Tips and Lessons Learnt for Relocating:
Consider your routines! At the moment I am trying to create a morning and evening routine that works with work and leaves me feeling energised!
Check your plans! Sometimes I tend to plan too many activities and leave very little time for myself... I am now trying to limit how much I schedule within my week!
Not everything needs to be done now! This links to the previous tip above... I often feel that I need to be productive 100% all the time and that I should be "ticking things off" my to-do list, however, if this is at the sacrifice of good mental and physical health then this becomes an issue that needs addressing.
Positive self-talk! Once we are in the everyday routines of everyday life, it can be easy to become 'stuck in a rut' mentally. However, mindset is an everyday practice and something to nurture.
Look for the micro-joys! I really like the idea of micro-joys and this is a practice that I am keen to adopt: from appreciating a hot drink to admiring the autumnal colours.
This is a snapshot of my experience so far and I will be posting a monthly blog: updating you on my adventures in Scotland along with my highlights and lessons learnt!
